I had Dr. Kirby for calculus some years back. He was, as most professors, a bit quirky. However, he was always very giving of his time if you needed to go over any questions if I went to his office. He would spend much more time than even his office hours listed or required. He was a very unselfish professor whose goal was to try and take the student from the point of not understanding to understanding. He was a bit shy and, therefore, was offputting to some students who did not like him looking towards the ground when he taught—small potatoes, folks. He is a genius and I am glad I had an opportunity to learn from him. Thank you, Dr. Kirby |
